The Marine Resources is Also for Generations to Come
|
"When I did not have the knowledge from LEAD training, I did not care wether the fishing practices will destroy the marine habitat or not. What I have in mind was that I need to catch ornamental fish as many as possible and sell them. Now I understand that using cyanide will destroy the reefs and kills the baby fish. If the fish is gone by now for our existing needs, what is the future my children and my grand grand children? They may not know the fish that I can have it easily by now." (Ketut Baktiyasa, marine ornamental fish fisherman, Gerogak district, Bali). [more]
